Welcome to 197 Homestead Crescent, an imposing century home, converted to 3 luxury, self contained apartments. This first floor suite provides approximately 1,500 sq. ft. of living space and is tastefully decorated and furnished to provide an exceptionally comfortable and inviting home away from home.


This suite has a number of unique architectural elements such as ceiling moldings and texturing, extensive wood paneling of oak, old pine and painted panels.

The kitchen contains extensive, circa 1950, metal cabinets, stainless steel counters and a large wooden chopping block counter. The cabinets provide ample storage space and the functional, galley layout makes meal preparation easy and convenient. Fridge, stove, dishwasher and microwave oven are standard as are dishes and flatware for 8 place settings. The formal dining room has painted wood paneling and a bay window. Quality furnishings include an antique, satin wood dining suite - table with leaf, 4 chairs and sideboard.

Meal times are a joy in the sun drenched, breakfast room. The room can be used for casual dining on the glass top, wrought iron table, or, if required, can be transformed into an office space, complete with desk, telephone and high speed internet connections.

Rounding out the feature list, is parking for 2 vehicles, telephones and local telephone service, central heat / air-conditioning, free utilities, bi-weekly maid service and on-site laundry equipment. The suite has a security system, and 24hr monitoring can be provided at additional charge.

Local Services and Amenities

Homestead Crescent is within walking distance of Sherwood Forest Mall which comprises an A & P grocery store, drug store, banks, medical centre, liquor & beer stores and a fitness centre.

Approximately 6km east is Masonville Mall, one of the larger malls in London. In addition to the full range of stores in the mall, there is The Bay, Sears and Zellers, Canadian Tire, a cinema, library, banks, Chapters book store, restaurants and a large Loblaws grocery store.

The Canada Games Aquatic Centre is within walking distance and features a state of the art swimming pool with recreational and organized activities.

There are several schools in the area and a Montessori child care centre less than a block away, located in what used to be the property's' coach house.

Access to Hwy 402 (to Sarnia) is approximately 10-15 minutes west and heading south on Wonderland Road to Hwy 401 (Windsor / Toronto) takes approximately 15 minutes, depending on the time of day and prevailing traffic.
